Effective July 28, 2026
Black Ink Magazine ("the app," "we," "us") is published by Climate 2.0 at Carolina. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
The app does not require an account or sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies of any kind, and we do not sell or share data with data brokers.
If you opt in, we use OneSignal, a third-party push notification service, to deliver notifications about new articles. OneSignal receives a device push token needed to deliver notifications; it does not receive your name or any other personal information from us. You can opt out at any time in the app's Profile → Settings, or by disabling notifications for the app in your device's iOS Settings. OneSignal's own privacy practices are described at onesignal.com/privacy_policy.
Articles are retrieved from Black Ink Magazine's public website (uncblackink.com). Loading articles works like visiting any website, since your device makes standard network requests to do so, but the app does not attach any personal or account information to these requests.
If you use the "Report an Issue" option in Profile → Support, it opens an email you write and send yourself. It's pre-filled with basic diagnostic information (app version, device model, iOS version) to help us fix the issue. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send that email.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and the copy shown in the app.
